Homemade Cocoa Bomb Cereal [Vegan, Gluten & Sugar Free]

Making this cereal has been on my mind for quite some time now. In an upcoming Product Talk from Nuffnang for a future post I have to mention family memories which reminded me of this recipe. 

Going on family holidays every Summer meant eating some foods we normally wouldn't, in particular sugary breakfast cereals. I'm sure many of you remember those multi-packs of mini cereal boxes and the fights which ensued over who would get the Coco Pops. 

Coco Pops will always have a place in my heart because who doesn't love the idea of chocolate for breakfast? The sweet chocolaty taste, the crunch of the cereal and the leftover chocolate infused milk in the bottom of the bowl - cereal doesn't get much better...until now.

This Homemade Cocoa Bomb Cereal has all the makings of a health food: vegan, gluten free sugar free and fat free. The one thing is doesn't lack is taste. It has all the attributes of Coco Pops (but with corn instead of puffed rice), even the chocolaty milk at the end.

Whether you make this for yourself or your kids, you won't be left disappointed. 


1 Bag of Abundant Earth Puffed Corn
8 tsp Natvia/Fangks Chocolate Drink Mix
4 tsp 100% Baking Cocoa
2 tsp Orgran Egg Replacer
1/4 Cup of Almond Breeze Almond Milk in Unsweetened Original


Mix all of the ingredients, except the puffed corn, together until a thick paste has formed

Pour the chocolate paste over the puffed corn and toss until each piece is covered

Pour evenly on a silicone mat or a baking paper lined tray

Bake in a 160 degree Celcius oven for 5 minutes or until crisp

Store in an air-tight container and enjoy each morning with some almond milk
