[Product Review] Lucky Smart Snax & GIVEAWAY

NOTE: I was provided these Lucky Smart Snax mixes for review (and to run a giveaway) as part of a Product Talk by Nuffnang. I was not monetarily compensated for this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lucky is an Australian-owned company, which was founded in 1957. Originally a confectionary packer, Lucky changed to produce cooking nuts and became a popular household name.

These days Lucky is known for producing a range of nut and seed products, from whole nuts, to nut meals, snack packs, and fruit, nut and seed mixes. Lucky's newest venture is the Smart Snax range.

The new Lucky Smart Snax range includes six different nut, fruit and seed mixes - each developed to meet specific individual needs:

* Lucky Smart Snax Digestive
* Lucky Smart Snax Recovery
* Lucky Smart Snax Womens
* Lucky Smart Snax Cardio
* Lucky Smart Snax Power
* Lucky Smart Snax Low Carb

Below, I go into detail about each individual mix, but here's a little more information about the whole product range.

Lucky Smart Snax contain no added sodium or artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. They're high in potassium which is an essential mineral for maintaining a healthy functioning body. Plus the Smart Snax range is a good source of vitamin E, which is a difficult vitamin to get enough of from just vegetables

I like the touch of sustainable packaging as they're all resealable bags, to preserve freshness.
Keep a bag of these on your desk at work to avoid reaching for unhealthy, processed foods when you're feeling peckish mid-afternoon.

DIGESTIVE

Oven Roasted: Almonds, Peanuts, Hazelnuts, Cranberries, Sunflower Kernels and Pepitas.

A range of different textures from each of the nuts and seeds, with the oven roasted nuts adding a lovely flavour. The dried cranberries add enough sweetness to beat those cravings. In terms of the name, this mix is full of fibre which help keep your digestive system happy and healthy.

RECOVERY

Oven Roasted: Almonds, Cashews, Peanuts and Pepitas.

Sometimes after working out you may not feel like having a large meal, but a serve of this mix will provide you with some protein to aid in muscle development and recovery from exercise. Keep some in your car or gym bag to munch on, on the drive home.

WOMENS

Cashews, Almonds, Brazil Nuts and Walnuts.

Being a vegan, I'm always conscious about consuming iron-rich foods. One serve of this mix contains 14% RDI of Iron, making it great as an everyday snack, especially to up your iron intake when it's that time of the month

CARDIO

Almonds, Sultanas, Cranberries and Blueberries

This mix of almonds and dried fruits gives your body the healthy fats and natural sugars to keep you moving all day. You can satisfy your sweet and savoury cravings in the one snack.

POWER

Oven Roasted: Peanuts, Almonds, Walnuts, Hazelnuts and Dark Chocolate.

We all get those mid-afternoon hunger pangs and this mix is all about powering through. The nuts leave you satiated, and the bits of dark chocolate control your sweet tooth.

Just a note for other vegans, the dark chocolate does contain some milk solids.

LOW CARB

Brazil Nuts, Peanuts, Pepitas, Almonds and Walnuts.

Brazil nuts are high in selenium and in fact contain more of the mineral than any other food. Eaten in combination with the other nuts and seeds, you'll be nourishing your body with many essential vitamins and minerals, while keeping the snack low carb.
