Most of the products I review on this blog are unique, in the sense that they don't intend to recreate the same exact flavour or texture of a non-vegan product. There are hundreds of vegan alternative products out there, but it's rare to find a product that is EXACTLY the same as the traditional, non-vegan product.
In my mind, Chicago Vegan Foods Dandies Marshmallows are the holy grail of vegan products.
These are marshmallows - real marshmallows.
The same taste, the same fluffy, chewy texture.
They melt the same and can be used the same in any recipes which call for marshmallows.
In a blind taste test there is no way a non-vegan would have the ability to distinguish Dandies Marshmallows from a non-vegan marshmallow. My family are often weary when I give them some vegan products to try, but they, like I, loved these.
These marshmallows won't last long in my house, so I'll be stocking up on more soon.
Keep an eye out, you'll see these marshmallows make quite a few appearances when my new websites launch later this year.
