Ever since I have been eating a lower fat and higher carbohydrate diet, I can certainly feel the difference. I have more energy, I feel more satisfied after a meal and I have been more adventurous with what I've been eating.
Following along with the raw vegan recipes I have been posting this year, today I'm sharing another 40 Below Fruity recipe with you.
Both figs and carob are excellent vegan sources of calcium and iron, and as an added bonus, you get your much-needed 'chocolate' hit.
Ingredients
12 Dried Figs (I used these)
1 tsp Toasted Carob Powder
2 Cups of Water
Directions
Soak the figs in some warm to hot water
Pour the figs, along with the water into a blender and add the carob pulse
Blend until completely smooth
Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy
