[Product Review] IMK Pro Colour Stick Mixer

This product talk is brought to you by Nuffnang and IMK.

This past week I have been enjoying playing with a new appliance in the house - the IMK Pro Colour Stick Mixer.

This stick mixer is one of a variety of IMK kitchen appliances launched in Spotlight stores. In addition to the stick mixer, there's toasters, kettles and blenders in a range of bright and fun colours - even classic black if you enjoy a sleek and stylish look to your kitchen.

The IMK Stick Mixer is like two appliances in one, with the power unit removable and placed on the chopper attachment. The power unit itself is quite heavy, however it's a great way to get a bicep workout in the kitchen!

The power unit features two buttons and one dial. The variable speed dial allows you to control the speed of the stick mixer to your needs and avoid food flying all around your kitchen. The power button literally powers the stick mixer, but the turbo button gives it that extra boost of power to puree or blend tougher ingredients. The LED light on the top of the unit shines red when the stick mixer is turned on at the power point.

The actual stick mixer is best for liquids, pureeing fruits for baby food, and blending soups (since you're not meant to put hot liquids in a regular blender) to a smooth and creamy consistency,
The chopper attachment acts like a mini food processor. Do you hate chopping onions? Use the chopper attachment to avoid tears. But it's not just onions that the chopper attachment can handle, it works on just about everything you can imagine. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, bread, and meat, cheese and eggs (if that's your kind of thing).

I put the IMK chopper attachment to the test by making some vegan bliss balls, which actually ended up tasting just like rum balls.

The toasted coconut chips were no match for the chopper attachment, it took just seconds for them to go from chips to crumbs. Then, in under a minute I hate chopped, mixed and created my bliss ball mixture - all in the one container with little clean-up required.

Dates can often be troublesome for appliances like this, however the IMK model had no issues. The dates didn't stick to the blade, nor did I have to scrap down the sides. All the ingredients combined evenly, quickly and with no issues. Now that I can make bliss balls with ease, I can see myself using the IMK Stick Mixer and chopping attachment on a daily basis.

Put the IMK Stick Mixer to task with one of my vegan soup recipes:

Spicy Zucchini Soup

Sweet Potato & Black Bean Soup

Carrot Pumpkin & Ginger Soup

Use the IMK Chopper Attachment to make yourself some healthy vegan treats:

Oil Free Hummus

Fudgy Date Balls Three Ways

Four Ingredient Rum Balls
